If you’ve got tight or sore lower back and/or core muscles, then a trunk rotation stretch is an easy way to help stretch them out and loosen things up.

To perform a trunk rotation stretch:

  1. Lie on the ground with your knees propped up, and your feet close together.

  2. Keeping your upper back on the ground, rotate your knees to one side as far as you comfortably can. Hold the stretch, and then rotate to the other side.
