Ankle pain can be caused by a lot of things because many of the muscles in the ankle area go up into the knee area. Often tight calf muscles can cause ankle and knee pain.

My favorite exercise for this area is ankle pumps. It’s great for the ankle, knee, and lower leg. It also helps improve circulation in the legs.
