Hey everyone, it’s Doctor Jo! I’m a Physical Therapist and Doctor of Physical Therapy.

I started my PT career at a rehabilitation hospital. This was a great place to learn about EVERYTHING. You name it, we saw it! I have worked in many different settings including outpatient, acute care, aquatics, and inpatient rehabilitation in both private and hospital-based clinics.

Before PT school, however, I began a very different career. I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication. During undergrad, I played soccer, and to make me more injury prone, I was a goalkeeper! I had many injuries during my soccer career, and I had PT several different times. Some of it was really good, and some of it was really bad. So I always had the thought of becoming a PT in the back of my mind. After several years of working at a desk and in an office with no windows, I decided it was time to give this PT thing another look.

Finally, you will notice lots of pups making cameos in my videos. They are all my pound puppies and are always ready for their close-ups! A couple of the pups featured in my older videos (Molly & Bailey) have moved on to the Rainbow Bridge, but hopefully they will all make you smile when you are not feeling your best.

Be safe, have fun, and I hope you feel better soon!
