If you’re looking for a simple exercise to help loosen up your shoulders, increase range of motion, and relieve shoulder pain after an injury or surgery, I really like Codman pendulum circles. They are easy to do and work really well.

To perform codman pendulum circles:

  1. Use a sturdy chair or counter top to lean against. Take your arm and hang it straight down towards the ground.

  2. Move your body in a circle at your hips to make your arm move. Try not to actively move your arm.
